Penobscott River Trade Route

We run a construction company in Dubai and we've always used metal jerry cans for diesel and petrol at our sites, but I'm honestly getting tired of the constant issues. The metal ones rust, they're heavy to carry around, and the paint chips off which makes them look unprofessional. Plus when they get dented the caps don't seal properly anymore and we end up with fuel leaking all over the back of our trucks. But I'm curious about how well the plastic holds up with daily use in a rough construction environment where they get thrown around a bit. Do they crack easily if dropped? And how do they handle being left in direct sunlight all day? I know the metal ones get hot as hell to touch but they don't melt or warp. I'm pretty keen on making the switch for the weight and handling benefits but I want to make sure I'm not trading one set of problems for another.
