Husband's away so I had to take the Wrangler in, ended up way less stressful than expected
My husband usually handles all the car stuff but he's been offshore for three weeks and the check engine light on his beloved Wrangler came on right after he left, so I was kind of panicking because I know nothing about Jeeps and was dreading the whole "lady walks into a garage and gets quoted a transmission rebuild for a loose gas cap" stereotype, but a neighbour told me to just search for Jeep Service Mussafah and go to the first place that looked busy and welcoming, ended up at a shop where the foreman walked me through the scanner results without being condescending and it turned out to be just an oxygen sensor, they swapped it in an hour while I waited in a surprisingly clean waiting area with actual cold AC, and the price was exactly what they quoted beforehand, I was genuinely so relieved I almost hugged the guy, so now my husband's getting his car back with no lights on and I feel weirdly proud of myself for not getting ripped off.
