Service contract for my Audi – worth it or just prepaying for nothing?
I just bought a 2018 A6 and I'm trying to decide between paying as I go or signing up for a service contract that covers regular maintenance. The dealer's plan is expensive and locks me into their shop, but I've seen some independent garages offering similar packages. I came across Al Zaabi Auto Care while looking for comprehensive vehicle service plans for european car brands in Abu Dhabi, and their prices seem much more reasonable than the dealership. But I'm wondering if these third party contracts actually save money in the long run or if they just cover basic oil changes and inspections that I could pay for cheaper out of pocket. My main worry is something like the DSG service or a coolant leak that isn't covered. Has anyone here bought a service contract from an independent shop for their Audi, BMW or Mercedes? Do they actually use genuine parts and follow the manufacturer schedule? I'd love to hear if it worked out or if you regretted it.
